The Daily Mirror reports that the pressure is growing on QPR boss Paulo Sousa and that Dons manager Roberto Di Matteo is being considered as a replacement in a summer shake-up at Loftus Road.

The article reports that ex-Portugal midfielder Sousa, who is currently only a 'first team coach' but (seemingly) head of on-pitch affairs, will remain in that position with a new man coming in in a higher role, presumably as manager. 

The Mirror discloses a shortlist of three being considered for that job, with Dons boss Di Matteo listed alongside Bristol City manager Gary Johnson and former Dons manager Paul Ince, who was sacked as Blackburn Rovers manager earlier this season.

With Danny Wilson sacked and Martin Allen and Ince leaving for bigger clubs, Di Matteo's departure this summer would mean a fifth manager in as many seasons for the Dons, something MK fans have come to expect as part of the deal with chairman Pete Winkelman's (usually very successful) high profile, some might say celebrity, appointments. Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson, for example, has finished narrowly behind Ince and looks set to trump Di Matteo to the second automatic promotion spot in League One this season, but even with a very famous father in Sir Alex, seems likely to stay put for another season at London Road, perhaps due to his own lower profile stemming from his playing career.

Having had his one-year deal extended until 2011, Dons would be due fairly considerable compensation was the move to happen, but I think most of us would swap that for a bit of stability within the club.
