Dons could be missing their vice-captain Sean O'Hanlon for the playoff semi-finals, and even a possible final, as the centre-back aims to recover from a knee injury, while Stephen Gleeson will not feature again this season after damaging his ankle ligaments.
O'Hanlon has been ruled out of Dons' final match of the regular season against Hereford United this Saturday, and Dons manager Roberto Di Matteo says he is unlikely to have the defender fit for both legs of the forthcoming playoff semi-final:
"Sean O'Hanlon has an injury to his knee so we will see how he recovers in the next few days.
"He'll see another specialist on Thursday and we hope it's not as bad as it might have been.
"He won't play on Saturday but we'll have to see if we can get him back for one of the two [play-off] games."
Irishman Gleeson, 20, was stretchered off in the final minutes of Dons' 0-1 defeat to Walsall at stadium:mk last Saturday and x-rays have confirmed potentially serious ankle ligament damage. The midfielder has the benefit of the summer months coming up to recover but won't play a part in the Dons' playoff campaign.
