League One's promotion challenging sides fail to take advantage of the Dons' draw at Tranmere as Oldham, Scunthorpe and Millwall all drop points, although Leicester and Peterborough bag narrow away victories.

Bristol Rovers 0-1 Leicester

Matty Fryatt bagged his 21st goal of the season at the Memorial Ground as Leicester squeezed past Rovers to go 12 points clear at the top of League One, and made it a club record of 20 matches unbeaten. On-loan Liverpool centre-back Jack Hobbs was sent off for the Foxes but Daryl Duffy failed to convert the resulting spot-kick and Leicester had few problems holding out.

Hereford 0-1 Peterborough

Aaron Mclean's 3rd minute strike was enough to see Posh beat struggling Hereford, and come within four points of the Dons, although MK have played a game less. It was at about this time last season they got a bit close for comfort to us - we should be due to pull away in the next couple of weeks!

Yeovil 2-2 Oldham

Oldham only managed a point away at Yeovil, under the new management of centre-back player-manager Terry Skiverton. Deane Smalley gave the Latics a 12th minute lead but two goals from Gavin Tomlin put Yeovil in front. Six minutes before half-time Oldham drew level thanks to an own goal from Yeovil defender Terrell Forbes.

Swindon 4-2 Scunthorpe

That point was enough to see Oldham go fourth as Scunthorpe lost out in a thriller at the County Ground. First half goals from Gary Hooper and Arsenal loanee Henri Lansbury gave Scunny a 2-0 lead, but after both Cliff Byrne and David Mirfin were sent off for the away side, Swindon turned it around with only half an hour remaining. Michael Timlin set them on their way shortly after Mirfin was dismissed, Andrew Wright's own goal pulled Swindon level and goals from Hal Robson-Kanu and Lee Peacock secured a dramatic win.

Millwall 0-1 Brighton

Brighton chairman Dick Knight picked a strange time to sack manager Micky Adams, but that decision turned out to be an inspired one as Adam Virgo's goal gave Brighton a massive three points at the Den.
