Former Newcastle player Chris Waddle believes Hull will not survive in the premiership this season, However he thinks Newcastle will be safe. Hull sit four points above the relegation zone after securing only two wins from their last 21 league games.
"It looks to me as though Hull are in freefall, and I fear nothing can save them" he told the Sunday Mirror.
"People say they have had a great season, but that is not strictly true.
"What
they had was a great start to the season, and they certainly shocked
and surprised some of the big guns with the way they set about them.
Said Waddle
"They attacked all opposition, were not respecters of reputations, and full credit to them for that. They also had their Brazilian Geovanni banging in spectacular goals, and delivering from set plays.
"But now they have been found out a bit. They are finding out you cannot get away with making as many mistakes in the Premier League like you could down in the Championship.
"Their goal-difference is not good either, and I think that will work against them in the final analysis."
