Hull went into the game at the Kc without a win in 6 matches. Having Drawn their last 3 . Would the Tigers finally get 3 points from a game. 3 points have been hard to come by and beating a Middlesbrough side who's form on the road has been decent probably wasn't the easiest of tasks. Middlesbrough started the brightest but didn't create anything in the opening 10 minutes of the game.
Boro continued to play some good stuff as Hull seemed to have forgotten their had a game to play. The game then became an end to end affair with both sides having chances to cross on the break but neither side could find that finally ball and when Hull finally did find that Ball Geovanni headed terribly wide. The defences were defiantly on top in the 1st 40 minutes of the game. On 40 minutes though Barmby had a chance but Turnbull Snuffed out any danger. Both sides Best chances of the game came in the final few minutes of the 1st half . 1st Hull's Geovanni Heading wide after a good cross from Ricketts down the left, Middlesbrough's Best chance Fell to Stuart Downing who's left footed shot went into the side netting

Hull started the second Half alot better then the 1st and came out Full of confidence probably after a few harsh words from Phil Brown at Half time. Geovanni again failing to find the target as he sent a shot wide. 60 minutes gone and Phil Brown made a double substitution Mendy and Cousin coming on to replace Barmby and Marney. Hull clearly looking to score a winner as their went two up top with Geovanni just behind. It was that man Geovanni who sent yet another shot wide as he just couldn't find his range which was the story all afternoon.
Middlesbrough's first effort of the second half came on 65 minutes Digard having a dip from 25 yards which was easy for Myhill. The game became an end to end affair again with both sides having chances. Marlon King sliced a shot wide for Hull. Whilst at the other end Aliadiere had a weak shot saved by Myhill after a mix up in the Hull defence. It was Middlesbrough who Finally took the lead on 79 minutes, Hoyte down the right teed up Tuncay and from just five yards out put the ball Past Myhill to make it 1-0 Totally against the Run of Play.
It only took 2 minutes for Hull to get back into the game however , Mendy Firing a shot from 15 yards, which hit the post ,hit the back of Turnbull and went into the net 1-1 and game back on. Just two minutes later and Hull were awarded a Penalty, David Wheater bringing down Geovanni. Bad news for wheater has he is sent off . King Stepped up to take the Spot kick and placed it passed Turnbull to make it 2-1 to Hull. it was a Pretty uneventful last 5 minutes with only Cousin having a chance to seal the win for Hull but he sent his shot over. Alves had a free kick for Boro which was deflected wide for a corner. Halmosi had the final effort of the game but it was straight at Turnbull.
