Hull Went into the Game at the KC stadium looking for their 5th win over a London club this season. Hull were in great form Winning their last 4 games. Chelsea went into the game having lost their 1st game of the season on Saturday against Liverpool. Hull were boosted before the game after Andy Dawson was passed fit to play. Joe Cole also returned for Chelsea.
Chelsea started the game brightly and took the lead on 3 minutes. Lampard superbly Floated the ball over Myhill and into the net. The fast paced Chelsea attack Continued. It took Hull until the 8th minute to create a chance Michael Turner headed over the bar from a corner. Hull continued to create as cousin also headed wide from a corner.
Chelsea then began to take control Joe Cole having a shot from the edge of the box which saved by Myhill who gathered at the Second Attempt. Then Lampard had a free kick from the edge of area which went over. as Chelsea continued to press malouda had a free header from 10 yards which he sent wide. All this and only 20 minutes played.
21 minutes played and Anelka had a shot from the edge of the area which he sent wide. As Chelsea were missing all these chances Hull suddenly began to find their feet. Daniel Cousin Hitting the post on 22 minutes. Geovanni hit a free kick from fully 40 yards which Petr Cech just managed to save. As the half wore on Chelsea began to take control again. Malouda having a shot from 20 yards which went over, Lampard with a shot from 30 yards which went wide and an
Anelka volley from 12 yards which was tipped over the bar fantastically by Myhill
Hull had a further 2 chances before the half time whistle. Geovanni having a free kick which was saved by Cech and Marlon king having an effort which again was saved by Cech. Half time and it was 1-0 to Chelsea which on the 1st half performance was probably deserved.
Into the second half another early chance for Chelsea a one two between Lampard and Deco ended in Lampard screwing a shot wide. It was 2-0 to Chelsea 2 minutes later when a mix up in the Hull defence gifted a goal of Anelka. Turner and Zayatte Waited for myhill to come clear the ball but Anelka got in first and put the ball into an empty net. Joe Cole left The game on 53 minutes he appeared to have picked up yet another injury.
Malouda Fired another shot over the bar as Chelsea were looking dangerous. Deco then fired over as Chelsea began to look like their could run riot. Chelsea were still been wasteful with their chances Lampard Firing over yet again. Anelka also had a shot which was a weak effort from 7 yards and was easily saved by myhill.
Chelsea made it 3 on 75 mintes. Great simple football by Chelsea ended up with malouda having a tap in from 5 yards. Hull looked well and truly beat and began to tire, Lampard hitting a shot into the side netting. Hull did have chances towards the end of the game but never really looked like scoring. Chelsea ended the game with 10 men after Carvalho pulled up with what appeared to be a hamstring injury, Chelsea had already used all 3 subs. Full time Hull 0-3 Chelsea. A deserved 3 points for Chelsea who totally outplayed Hull at times.
Chelsea remain 2nd 3 points behind Liverpool . Hull now Drop to 5th.

"To go behind after three minutes gave us an uphill task.
"We said at half-time that we had an extra day's rest after the weekend but we conceded a poor goal straight away.
"But we have 20 points from 10 games and we have to make sure that we continue to build on that."
