Leeds move?

Dean Windass could be about to move to Leeds on loan. Windass today said he would consider a move to Leeds United should he fail to fight his way into the Hull City first team.Windass has said he is in talks with Leeds manager Gary McCallister. Windass said: "I'm still not getting a look-in for starting spot, which is fair enough when the team are doing so well. "As the manager says, it's the players who pick the team.

"Once they're in possession of the shirt it's up to them to keep it, and I'm certainly not the only one who's getting frustrated on the bench.

"However, I'm still desperate to play and I turned out in a friendly on Monday and scored a goal. One of those watching was Leeds manager Gary McAllister who I spoke to both before and after the game.

"I want to make it clear that my priority is still to get back in the Hull team, but if Phil Brown tells me I can go, Leeds would definitely be a club I'd consider joining.

"I've known Gary for a long time and respect him both as a footballer and for the job he's doing at Elland Road.

"Bradford also made an enquiry about me last week, but I think they couldn't afford to pay Hull's wages.

"So I'm still here and still battling for my place which is what I've always said I will do until told otherwise."
