Phil Brown has Ruled out any chance of Michael Turner getting an England call up. Turner has started the season in great form and has helped Hull to 5 wins from 8 this season but manager Phil Brown believes Turner isn't a premiership player yet!
"I think the chants of 'Turner for England' are very unrealistic," said Brown.
"He is eight games into his Premier League career and he isn't even a Premier League player yet.
Playing one game, eight games or even a season doesn't make you a Premier League player. Michael has got a long way to go.
"He is attracting attention because of his performances. He's had three games now where he's gone to the likes of the Emirates Stadium, White Hart Lane and then back to the KC Stadium and been on the winning side. We've had two clean sheets in the last three and he scored the winner on Sunday.
"When the man of the match was announced on Sunday, I could have easily picked five or six players.
"He (Michael) can't do it without Kamil Zayatte. Then there's the midfield working in front of him.
"Where Michael is concerned, he will keep his feet on the ground and we've got a good set of staff here to make sure that happens.
"If he does get called up, he will get all the support he needs."
