Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh has once again indicated that he will be making the move to Wearside and the English Premier League within the next week. Done and dusted as far as he is concerned, is how Chamakh described the move in an interview on French radio.
Chamakh said of Sunderland: "I've told Bordeaux I need to go there.
"I want to play in the Premier League and Sunderland is a good challenge for me.
"I
didn't mind waiting but as far as Arsenal is concerned, it has taken
too long, unlike Sunderland. I could have waited but Bordeaux wanted
this response quickly so I could not do it any other way."
The striker has always said that his dream move would be to Arsene Wenger's Aresenal, but he wants any move to the Premier League. Bordeaux want a deal done ASAP, which put Sunderland in the driving seat as they are ready to buy now.
Chamakh has recently rejected a new two year deal with his current side, on wages that would be equal to those he'd get in England - a show of his intent to move.
