Sunderland will take one of their biggest away followings of the season to Bolton on Saturday. Almost 5,000 fans will travel to the Reebok Stadium as Ricky Sbragia's side face Gary Megson's 12th placed Wanderers. Four points separate the two sides and a victory would help lift the Black Cats away from the danger zone.
Captain Dean Whitehead said: "We know that our recent
performances have been below par and we're determined to put
that right on Saturday.
"To know that 5,000 fans will be there with us is fantastic; I
don't think there's any other club in the league with that
kind of following - especially given our current position.
"We want to send the fans home with smiles on their faces. We know it will be a tough game but we'll be doing everything we can to take the points."
Sunderland have sold out of their allocation and there will be no tickets available from the Reebok on the day of the game.
