Whitehead Handed Rovers Trial

Bolton Wanderers young reserve midfielder Dale Whitehead is currently on trial with League One side and old enemy Tranmere Rovers. The 19-year old was voted as the youth academy player of the year at Bolton last season but his second campaign in the youth set-up hasn't quite gone as well as the first and a move to Prenton Park could now be in the offing.

Salford-born Whitehead played ninety minutes for the Rovers reserve team in their goalless draw with Wrexham.
