Agathe Deal Called Off

Bolton Wanderers have pulled the plug on the signing of former Celtic winger Didier Agathe after personal terms could not be agreed. The Frenchman was due to pen a contract with the Trotters until the end of the season but it has since come to light that terms could not be struck between the two parties.

Agathe, who had trials with Arsenal and Middlesbrough following his release from Parkhead last month, will now be expected to join a Championship side with both Leeds United and Crystal Palace said to be interested.

Bolton have seen their injury crisis ease during the last week due to the return to action of Henrik Pedersen and Gary Speed following long term lay offs.
