Signed as midfield cover following injuries to Gary Speed, Ivan Campo and Khalilou Fadiga in January 2006.
Perez, full name Bovela Oscar Perez, began his career with hometown club Real Oviedo in 1999 and made their first team a season later with one appearance as they headed out of La Liga.
After just over a dozen apperances for Oviedo he made the move to Spanish lower league side Eibar in 2003 before moving back up the ladder to join Cordoba where one of his team mates included the ex-Wanderers loanee Javi Moreno.
