Bolton Close In On Cesar Transfer

Deportivo La Coruna have confirmed that Martin Cesar is close to tying up a five month loan move to Bolton Wanderers before the end of the transfer window. The Wanderers had originally denied interest in the 28-year old Spanish international but now a Deportivo spokesperson says that a deal is close to completion.

"The exit of Cesar for Bolton is very near" said a club source to Sky Sports earlier today

Cesar has been at the Estadio Riazor since 1999 but has been unable to command a regular place in the Deportivo starting line up so a temporary move elsewhere will help to enhance his chances of making Spain's World Cup squad in the summer.

Premiership rivals Liverpool have also cast an eye on the Spaniard in recent months but the Reds recent signings of Jan Kronkamp and Daniel Agger but paid to any deal happening.
