Senegal winger Khalilou Fadiga is believed to have launched a stinging attack on his manager Sam Allardyce in a row over tactics and lack of opportunities. The 31-year old signed for current club Bolton from Inter Milan last season and has overcome various health complications in the past to force his way onto the verges of making the Wanderers starting line up.

Fadiga is quoted as saying that he is unhappy with the long ball tactics opted by Allardyce and suggests that he is a player who does not fit into the current system used at Bolton.

"I'm no longer happy with the number of games I get and I went to see the manager about it. At the moment he prefers for us to hit long balls upfield, rather than using guys like me who can play a bit of football."

His exclusion from the African Nations Cup has worked to Fadiga's advantage as he has been given a bigger role in the team having started the last two games against Watford and Blackburn Rovers.
