Benfica Target Unsettled Borgetti

Portuguese giants Benfica are the latest club to take an interest in Bolton Wanderers unsettled Mexican forward Jared Borgetti.... The veteran marksman has found the net on five occasions this season, mainly in cup competitions, but Wanderers boss Sam Allardyce feels that the South American must up his overall game if he is to stand any chance of displacing regular centre forward Kevin Davies.

Benfica manager Ronald Koeman aims to bolster his attacking options at the Stadium of Light over the coming weeks and the record breaking Borgetti could be just the type of player that he is looking for.

Bolton manager Allardyce has recently dismissed any hope of a loan deal but says that he may consider a sale if the offer is right for the club and player.
