Senegal midfielder Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye has finally become a fully fledged Bolton Wanderers player today after signing a permanent two-year contract at the Reebok Stadium. The African has put in a number of fine displays since moving on loan from French club Lens last summer and now the Wanderers have decided to take up a clause in the players contract which enables them to secure a permanent arrangement after Faye's completion of ten matches.

Both the player and his manager Sam Allardyce where happy to have finally tied up a switch to the club and Allardyce described his new signing as "a find of the season".


"Abdoulaye Faye has been one of the finds in the Premiership this season. He joined us on loan in the summer and with his sheer determination and ability he has forced his way into the team."

"He is arguably our most consistent player of the season so far and loves the physicality of the Premiership." said Allardyce to the official website

Faye himself was also happy to have concluded a deal after spending the last two seasons out of favour at Lens. He describes his move to Bolton as a resurrection of his career:

"Sam Allardyce and Bolton Wanderers have given me the opportunity to resurrect my career,"

"I had a difficult time in France last season, which resulted in my team (Istres) being relegated from the top flight. To have the chance to draw a line under the past and start again in England is a chance you don't give up.

"The Premiership is by far the most demanding league in the world and it really suits my style.

"To now earn a permanent contract is a dream come true and for me the challenge is to continue with my progression.
