Kevin Nolan has been named as the Walking Down The Manny Road player of the month for October after a string of fine performances which have seen him on the verge of the England squad. Nolan claimed a quarter of the votes and stayed joint top along with Mexican striker Jared Borgetti who scored important goals for the club in the UEFA Cup and Carling Cup competitions.

Hidetoshi Nakata, Abdoulaye Faye and Jussi Jaaskelainen all claimed creditability in third place in the recent poll which has been running independantly since the site began in the summer.
