Mexican striker Jared Borgetti hopes that he can win a place in Bolton's Premiership line up after scoring his third goal of the season in the Carling Cup game against West Ham United last night. The 32-year old has been limited to substitute appearances so far in the league programme but he hopes to put extended pressure on Kevin Davies in the coming games to win the main front role.

"I came to Bolton to score goals, That's what I do best - I've done it my entire career. If I'm given the right service, I have this natural ability of being in the right place at the right time.It's something I've always done and I can't wait to start doing it in the Barclays Premiership." he told the official site earlier today

Borgetti is well aware that he will need to be at his best if he is to oust fans favourite Davies from the line up but he is willing to bide his time for the moment and keep scoring when the opportunities come his way.

"All I have to do is keep scoring goals, work hard for the team like closing down the opposition and winning my fair share of headers, and then I will get an extended run in the side."

"It has been frustrating sitting on the bench, but I know that there is great competition for places and you have to wait your turn.When the time is right, I will perform and push for that regular starting role."
