Sam Allardyce is keen to turn Hidetoshi Nakata's loan move at Bolton Wanderers into a permanent arrangement after the Japanese midfielder played a starring role during yesterday's 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion. The 28-year old put in another impressive performance which was capped off by him scoring a fine free kick to send the Wanderers on their way to their first win of October.

Nakata is currently at the Reebok Stadium for a temporary year long spell after falling out of favour with Italian club Fiorentina and Bolton manager Allardyce is hopeful of bringing the Asian star over to England for keeps.

"We are hoping to make it a permanent deal. It is something we will look at in the early stages in the transfer window.".

"If he continues like this (recent form), he will be a good capture for us. Nakata's overall play is beginning to get better and better."

"He was determined to play in the Premiership and because he has been in Europe for so long, the adjustment is easier for him than others."
