Former Crystal Palace striker Ivan Kaviedes is beleived to be on the wanted list of Bolton Wanderers according to reports emerging from South America today. The Ecuadorian international spent part of last season with Palace but was unable to settle at Selhurst Park making just four appearances for the Eagles in their ill fated return to the top flight.

Kaviedes is also wanted by Spanish club Real Betis and some news sources claim that a deal has already been reached but it has been suggested that Sam Allardyce wants to talk to the player as well before any final decision is made.

The 27-year old has played in Spain before and has also had spells in his homeland as well as in Italy and Portugal. It would be a huge gamble for Bolton if they where to recruit such a player given his track record in European football but he has got a decent scoring record in the South American leagues.

Bolton have had mixed success with South American players over the years with the likes of Emerson Thome, Mario Jardel, Julio Cesar and Jared Borgetti all wearing the Wanderers shirt in recent times.
