Julio Cesar has signed a contract with Mexican club Tigres following his release from Bolton Wanderers at the end of last season..
The 26-year old Brazilian defender failed to command a regular starting place at the Reebok Stadium following his move from Real Vallodolid last summer, and is now heading back to his native South America in the search for regular first team football.
Cesar, full name Julio Cesar Santos Correa, is much travelled throughout his career having represented clubs in Spain, Portugal, Austria, Italy and England over the last nine years. He made just five league appearances for Bolton and scored once during the Carling Cup game away to Yeovil Town.
At the Mexican club he will be joined by Argentinian midfielder Sixto Peralta who played against Bolton whilst on loan for Ipswich Town in the 2001-2002 season.
