Bolton Join Euell Chase

Charlton Athletic striker Jason Euell is up for grabs and Bolton Wanderers are said to be one of a number of Premiership clubs keeping an eye on developments. The Jamaican international has resigned himself to the fact that he will be leaving The Valley in the close season after falling out of favour with the Addicks manager Alan Curbishley last year.

Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, West Ham United, West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Sunderland and the Wanderers are all queuing up to land the former Wimbledon star who joined Charlton for a then club record £4.5 million move in the summer of 2001.

Euell has proved to be a versatile member of the Charlton team and has sometimes played in an attacking midfield role rather than as an out and out striker.
