Their league season may have ended a couple of weeks ago but Bolton Wanderers reserves still have cup glory on their minds when they take on Bury at the County Ground in the next phase of the Manchester Senior Cup tonight.

Jimmy Phillips side finished bottom of the FA Premier Reserve League North table but their form towards the end of the season picked up with a number of the more experienced players helping the second string get points on the board.

Bury's reserve and youth teams have one game each left to play, and it looks as if Mike Sheron will have a satisfactory first season in charge of the Shakers kids, with both teams sitting in comfortable mid-table positions.

The Shakers include Bolton-born players Aaron Grundy and Dale Stephens in their line-up, whilst defender Alex Mallion was on the Wanderers books prior to moving to Gigg Lane.

BURY RESERVES: Aaron Grundy, Alex Mallion, Carlos Edmonson-Rouse, Andy Parkinson, David Thompson, Dale Stephens, Kevin Fields, Ryan Hall, Domaine Rouse, Luke Holmes, Jack Dorney

SUBS FROM: Chris Mason, Jermaine Steele, Josh Rothwell, Mike Smith
