Manchester United have announced that they will take on the Hong Kong national side as part of their up-coming tour of Asia in the summer in a bid to get match-fit for the 2005/2006 Premiership season.

The tour is set to be a massive sell-out, as most Asians are Red-Devil-fanatics, and with no major-international tournament in the summer, United will take their big-stars subject to injury.

Sir Alex Ferguson recently slammed his side's previous tour of the USA, claiming the tour was the main reason for his side's jittery start in the Premiership.

Commercial director Andy Anson stated: "Our Hong Kong fans are some of the most dedicated in the whole world," 

"It is tremendous that we are able to repay their loyalty by playing for them in Hong Kong."

"You can be sure that we will bring our full squad of players to Hong Kong" he added.

The tour will not be the first time United have ventured east to Asia. In 2001, the Reds played matches in Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Singapore, providing major commercial benefits.
