Manchester United's forgotten-man Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a reported target for a number of clubs in his home nation, Norway, when the striker eventually recovers from a plague of career threatening injuries.

Solskjaer, currently nursing a nasty long-term injury, looks to be out of favour at Old Trafford since the arrivals of Louis Saha, Wayne Rooney and Alan Smith in recent months and may want to end his prosperous career back in his home-land of Norway.

'The Baby Face Assassin', as dubbed by the United faithful, signed for United way back in 1996 as a consolation for failing to lure Alan Shearer but after bagging in the goals, Red Devils fans soon forgot about the Newcastle man.

The club the 31-year old first started out with, Molde, attempted an audacious loan-bid for Solskjaer at the back end of last season, however, after picking up yet another injury, the unlikely deal was made a definite failure.

Reports also claimed Solskjaer was on the verge of retirement as a consequence of the injuries, but fans would love to see the forward back in action next season at least.
