Spurs have been revolutionized over the summer by new boss Jacques Santini long with new Director of Football Frank Arnesen - who have both played their part in trying to re-attach the 'top-club' label that was once proudly attached to Spurs.

A whopping 15 players have been purchased and 7 additions to the back-room staff have been made, including the appointments of Santini and Arnesen.

Four draws and 2 wins have made up Spurs' notable start to the season, frustrating: Liverpool, Newcastle, West Brom, Birmingham, Norwich and Chelsea thanks to their disciplined shape and solid defence.

Both teams go into the game off the back of wins. United go into the game off the back of a 2-1 victory over arch rivals Liverpool whilst Tottenham are fresh from a 6-0 mauling of Oldham in the Carling Cup.

The Liverpool triumph saw the return of defender Rio Ferdinand who stood strong in an impressive defensive display. Sir Alex Ferguson requests more defensive solidity from his United back-four. "You know there are goals in their side, so defensively we have a job to do," said the Scotsman.

"It's never easy there and they have three strikers any team in the Premiership would be happy to have." he added.

However, whilst Ferguson demands a good defensive performance, Santini will tell his side to play with an attacking mentality. "We did not go out to play defensively against Chelsea, they forced us to play that way," said Santini following their 0-0 draw with their London rivals.

He continued: "We try to attack, but I want good defending and organisation because you then have a chance of a good result.

"It will be hard against United. We have three games in six days but they didn't play on Wednesday,"

Michael Carrick, Sean Davis and Tim Atouba are all doubts due to respective injuries but apart from the absent trio, Spurs have a full squad to choose from.

Roy Carroll is likely to continue in-between the sticks while Wayne Rooney will not be risked after just regaining fitness.

ManUtdWeb Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 1 - Manchester United 2: I'm sure we can end Spurs' unbeaten record on Saturday. They're tired seeing as they played on Wednesday but will be difficult to break down in midfield. 2-1 United.
