Coca-Cola Championship outfit Coventry City
have captured Manchester United goalkeeper Luke Steele, who joins fellow
team-mate Eddie Johnson at Highfield Road.
Steele joined United a few seasons back from Peterborough United for an initial £500,000 that could rise up to over a generous £2 million depending on appearances and future success. 19-year old Steele is highly rated at Old Trafford and is tipped to be England's next No.1 by many United coaches and has been capped at U19 level by England. The 6'2 giant could make his debut in a sky blue jersey in-between the sticks tomorrow, against Leeds United. Striker Eddie Johnson will be happy to have another United player at Highfield Road, so too will former United midfielder Neil Wood, who was released in the summer. |
