Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre has adopted a pessimistic attitude ahead of United's FA Cup Final with Millwall on May 22nd and admits things aren't looking good ahead of the crunch game.

With just 19 days to go the French international wants to end the season on a high and restore some pride in what has been a disappointing season to the Red Devil's standard.

“We know we have to play to our best to beat Millwall in Cardiff but when you see how we have performed over the last few weeks, it is not looking good.” said the 27-year old. 

He continued: “We have to perform and win in the league and try to take maximum points from our last two games."

“Sometimes our concentration and determination are missing. Forget details like that and you concede goals.”

Silvestre's defensive partnership with Rio Ferdinand earlier in the season was so impressive, people started to dub the pair as the 'new Bruce and Pallister' until Ferdinand was landed with an 8-month ban after failing to attend a drugs test.
