Manchester United have confirmed that they will return to the USA this year as part of their pre-season preparations and will come up against Celtic, Bayern Munich and Champions League winners AC Milan.

The Red Devils will meet Celtic in America yet again but this time in Lincoln, Philadelphia on the July 28th. Sir Alex Ferguson's side trashed Martin O'Neill's Bhoys 4-0 last year in Seattle in the first of United's 3 pre-season games there. The 66,722 Seattle crowd were treated to an excellent match, with Ruud van Nistelrooy, Ryan Giggs, Ole Gunner Solskjaer, and debutante David Bellion getting the United goals.

United will also face Bayern Munich in Chicago on July 25th and AC Milan in New York on July 31st in what looks to be a mouthwatering pre-season tour of the States, competing in the Champions World Series.

“We are thrilled to be returning to the United States for such significant matches next year,” confirmed Manchester United Chief Executive David Gill.

Uruguayan striker Diego Forlan was the star of United's pre-season in America bagging 2 goals in a 3-1 victory against Club America, being crucial in United's 4-1 demolition of Juventus and scoring another 2 in the 3-1 win against Barcelona.
