Forlan Set to Leave?
Rumours are circulating that Sir Alex Ferguson is set to sell Manchester United striker Diego Forlan when the Premiership transfer window opens in the Summer.

Forlan came to Old Trafford from Independiente for a surprisingly large fee of £7,500,000, but despite some good performances during his time here the striker has lacked consistency and has recieved his fair share of criticism.

The Uruguayan international has netted 17 goals since his arrival at Old Trafford, and went on a tremendous run of form earlier in the season. He is a popular character with team-mates and a number of supporters but the arrival of Louis Saha and the return of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from injury will relegate Forlan to fourth choice striker at the club, and with youth strikers looking for first-team outings it is believed Ferguson could be ready to count his losses on the South American.

Valencia have been alerted by the news that Forlan could be set to leave Old Trafford, and it is thought the Spanish outfit will offer a fee in the region of £1,000,000 for the 24-year-old. Should he leave at the end of the season, Forlan will surely be best remembered for his quick-fire brace that beat Liverpool and embarrassed Jersey Dudek last season.
