Mikael Silvestre is delighted that Sir Alex Ferguson has brought his fellow countryman Louis Saha to Old Trafford, and believes the French striker will succeed at Old Trafford.

Saha looks set to form a formidable strike partnership with Ruud Van Nistelrooy, as United look to re-create a top class double act like the one Dwight Yorke and Andy Cole formed, helping the Red Devils to the treble during the 1998/1999 season.

"It is good to see Louis. I know him very well. I used to play with him in the France Under-21 side, so I am happy for him and I hope he is going to bring something to the team like all the new signings have already done." said Silvestre.

"I can put it this way. I think he is just half a step behind Thierry Henry and Ruud van Nistelrooy. I think he is going to improve and he will catch them. When you train every day with better players you must improve otherwise the gaffer wouldn't sign you. I am sure he is going to improve."
