Manchester United are set to sign half American
half Polish teenaged midfielder Danny Szetela.
Szetela, 16, has attracted interest from a number of Premiership teams such as Mersyside duo Liverpool and Everton but has always had his heart set on playing for United. The young American had a one-month trial at Carrington training ground and reportedly impressed U-17 coach Francisco Filho and impressed the players. The energetic midfielder was influential for America in the recent World Youth Championships in Finland and his performances earned him a trial at United. If Szetela signs for United, he will be the 3rd American to sign for United this season. Fellow teenager Jonathan Spector and Tim Howard have both signed for United this summer. |
