United CEO Peter Kenyon has revealed that the club is considering releasing Argentine Playmaker Juan Sebastien Veron to new-look Premiership rivals Chelsea. New Page 1

Veron to Chelsea???

Manchester United chief executive Peter Kenyon has admitted that the club is considering selling Argentine playmaker Juan Sebastian Veron to Chelsea even thought manager Sir Alex Ferguson said that they wouldn’t sell him, just a few days ago.

“There has now been an official offer from Chelsea for Veron and it is under review," Said Kenyon.

Kenyon also pointed out that a decision would be made by next week, on whether to sell him or not. 

But Sir Alex Ferguson is trying to persuade Kenyon not to sell him, in order to help retain their Premiership crown this season.

Veron joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2001 from Italian side Lazio for £28million, but has struggled to prove ‘critics’ his worth, despite an excellent display against Juventus earlier this week.
