Ronaldinho Bid Increased

Manchester United are reported to have increased their bid for Brazilian star Ronaldinho to £18million. Sir Alex Ferguson had his first bid rejected earlier in the week, and has been forced to up the offer as Real Madrid emerge as contenders to sign the World Cup Winner. According to a French national newspaper, United have raised their bid for Brazilian ace Ronaldinho to £18million.

Sir Alex Ferguson had his first bid, believed to be in the region of £14million, rejected by PSG.

The United boss was in talks with the French outfit again yesterday as he tries to agree a deal with PSG president Francis Graille.

Despite his clubs financial worries, Graille seems reluctant to let Ronaldinho go, and was demanding an unrealistic £30million for the winger.

Real Madrid, who are emerging as United’s biggest rival to sign the World Cup winner, are believed to have made a bid of just under £16million. Chelsea's new owner Roman Abramovich is also believed to be interested in signing the 22-year-old.

Ronaldinho's Agent Roberto Assis didn't comment on these reported bids, but believes we will know Ronaldinho's new club on Thursday.
