Connah's Quay Link-Up Announced

Manchester United have agreed a three-year link up deal with Welsh Premier League side Connah's Quay Nomads.

The deal will see some of Nomads' most talented youngsters be given the opportunity to train at Old Trafford, and play against some of United's academy players.

In return, United will be able to poach any Nomads talent that Sir Alex Ferguson may want to bring to Old Trafford.

The deal could also see some of United's young talent, who are not getting regular competitive football, spent a loan spell at the Deeside College Ground to gain valuable first team experience with the North Wales outfit.

Nomads chairman Ron Morris is delighted with the deal, and is confident that it will be extremely beneficial to the younger players.

"Connah’s Quay Nomads Football Club are proud to be partners in this agreement with Manchester United," said Morris

"I will help ensure the deal is successful in every way for both clubs, and that it will be of great help to the young players."

Morris went on to say what a great honour it is for his club to be linked with the Premiership Champions.

"This link-up is a great compliment for the club, the town of Connah’s Quay and the whole of North Wales."
