United striker Jimmy Davis is set to join Watford on a one-season loan. The 20-year-old will move to Vicarage Road hoping for some valuable first-team experience, following a successful loan at Swindon Town last season. He has also had time with United's feeder club Royal Antwerp in the past. New Page 2

United striker Jimmy Davis is set to join Division One Watford on a one-season loan.

The 20-year-old is rated as a player with much potential, and the move will give him some invaluable first team experience as he grows closer to breaking into the senior squad at Old Trafford.

Davis had a spell on loan with Swindon Town last season, and Sir Alex Ferguson was delighted with the progress made by the youngster at the County ground. He hopes that Davis will continue to improve on his loan with Watford.

"The deal at Watford is great for Jimmy" said Sir Alex. "It will give him valuable first team experience that he is not yet getting in the Premiership."

The England Under-20 international is also excited about the move, saying: "I can't wait to get to Watford for pre-season training, I am really looking forward to playing for them."
