United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admits that Norwich City deserved all three points on Saturday, praising the work rate of the home side. Anthony Pilkington's goal secured victory for the Canaries at Carrow Road.

Pilkington's header on the hour mark condemned United to their fourth league defeat of the season.

United were lacking a creative spark throughout and the Norfolk club took full advantage.

Sir Alex Ferguson has praised the Canaries, admitting they were worthy winners.

He said: "They deserved the win because they worked so hard for it.

"They defended really well and their goalkeeper made two or three really good saves at vital moments."
