Big money sponsorship

DHL have become the training kit sponsor of Manchester United. Though insurance group Aon remain the club's shirt sponsor, DHL will have their logos displayed on the club's training shirts in a four-year deal worth £40million.

United have scooped £40million after signing a four-year sponsorship deal with logistics company DHL.

The DHL logo will feature on the club's training shirts ahead of domestic fixtures, but Aon remain the primary shirt sponsor.

United will not wear merchandise with the DHL logo ahead of European games.

It is perhaps fair to suggest that, as a consequence of this deal, the training kit may feature more prominently in the club shop - though no details of this have been announced.

Chief executive David Gill has said the deal "breaks new ground" for English football.

United have also signed a commercial sponsorship deal with Vietnamese mobile phone group Beeline.
