Manchester United have won the Milk Cup ‘Premier Competition’ for the third time in their history. The Red starlets were in super form throughout the illustrious youth competition, hosted at the Coleraine Showgrounds, with a 3-0 finale win against South Coast Bayern enough to secure more silverware for Old Trafford's brimming trophy cabinet.

Paul McGuinness' youngsters netted twenty goals on their way to the trophy - securing wins against Otago, County Armagh, Cherry Orchard and Watford before their final victory on Friday evening.

Oliver Norwood, Nicky Ajose and Federico Macheda grabbed United's goal against South Coast Bayern; with the game broadcast live on BBC 2 Northern Ireland.

The competition, this year opened by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, is one of youth football's most respected tournaments and United's success is further testament to the ability of the under-17s at the club.

Meanwhile, Northern Ireland won the 'Elite under-19s' section, whilst Everton secured success in the 'Junior' competition.
