Paul Armstrong has now played under three different managers at the Excelsior Stadium. He first joined Airdrieonians in September 2000 during Steve Archibald's brief "Latino" era.

Paul previously played for Brighton and Hove Albion and was a Republic of Ireland under 21 internationalist. He has proved to be a versatile defender playing as a right wingback and central defender, but should play mainly on the right wing. Paul has won two 'Challenge Cup' winners medals whilst playing in Airdrie. A valuable asset of Paul's is his long throw ins.

Paul Armstrong if he is a first team regular then he could be the best right back in the 2nd div an attacking full back unlike Jimmy Boyle. Daniel
