Fixtures for the 5th of March 2005

March 4 2005

I thought as part of a pre-match preview we could have a look at the other matches in the first division and how they may effect us. I've taken some educated guesses at how the results may go and where it could leave us in the league.

So lets start by announcing the fixtures and we can take them one at a time.

05 March 2005

Falkirk v Partick, 15:00
Queen of South v Airdrie  15:00
Ross County v Raith, 15:00
St Johnstone v Hamilton, 15:00
St Mirren v Clyde, 15:00

Falkirk Vs. Partick Thistle
The easy one out of this weeks fixtures, a home win for Falkirk to push Partick Thistle deeper in to the relegation zone and help Falkirk unfortunately win the Championship.

Queen of the South Vs. Airdrie
Anything but a loss will do us? I don't think we have quite reached that stage yet, we could be doing with a win and a good performance after our enforced break.

Ross County v Raith,
We have a game in hand over Ross County and are sitting six points clear of them at the moment, so Raith taking any points at all would be a bonus for us but a Ross County win won't cause us many problems at the moment. A Ross County win.

St Johnstone v Hamilton,
A St Johnstone win helps open up the gap between us and the relegation battle. A Hamilton win helps to sink Partick Thistle em a hard choice. So a draw.

St Mirren v Clyde,
Clyde need an away win to keep the pressure on Falkirk, they have a slim chance of catching the run away leaders but it means they have to win all there games. St Mirren like ourselves are fighting for pride and as high a position in the league as possible. A tough one to call so again a draw.
