Our first away game of season 2004/2005 sees us up against one of our biggest rivals, some fans would consider the cuddly toys of Scottish football bigger rivals than our Lanarkshire neighbours Motherwell.
I am awaiting further news on the injuries we received from Tuesday nights game against East Fife, but at the moment, excluding the long term injuries to Willie Mclaren and martin Hardie, it looks as though Sandy will have a full squad to choose from.
So the job for Sandy and Kenny begins again, the 1-0 win over St Johnstone last week is a great foundation for the team to build on but every manager is judged on his last game rather than the potential over a full season.

Derek Whyte and Gerry Britton Co-manage Partick thistle these days and have injuries, red cards and the Olympic games to contend with, while trying to get a team ready for our visit.
After the game against Clyde last week which Partick lost 2-1 Andy Dowie is suspended after being red carded.
Jerry Britton will be absent from the game as he is under going Knee surgery and Australian Adrian Madaschi is absent due to being called up to his countries Olympic team.
Partick will hope to get their first points on the board this weekend can the Diamonds stop them?

yet another premier league referee is giving the opportunity to improve his skills by judging an Airdrie game. Mr Dougals bookings this season seems very low until you think he has only been in charge in one game. Last season he produced 95 yellow cards and 2 red in only 31 games. None of which were against us.

 

 

 Prediction

In the prediciton league I am going for our first away victory of the season a 2 Vs 1 win for the Diamonds.
