As always we are in a position where we need points and need points quickly, from the next three game i would hope the Airdrie can come away with nne points and put ourselves back in a position to challenge for a place in the first Division.
Airdrie travel from New Broomfield to play East Fife at New Bayview, both teams have new players that may be taking the field of play for the first time during this match. For the Diamonds it seems like Kevin Christie will be getting his first start for the club, but it may surprise some that it could be as a right back a position he played during his time at Motherwell. We also have our newest recruit Paul Lovering set to make his debut for the club.
On the injury front, Sandy Stewarts team has once again have been the victim of a virus spreading through the ranks. Stephen McKeown is very doubtful (so a quick change to the prediction league is required) and both Marvyn Wilson and Scott Wilson are also recovering from the same bug but should be able to make it. Returning after suffering from injured ribs will be David Dunn who we all hope will fit straight back into mid-field.
East Fifes Jim Moffat also has new faces he hopes to fit into his pack Kevin Bain signed from Peterhead and Greame Mathie possibly from Motherwell although I can't find out any other details on him. With no other injury worries it seems the Fifers will continue with the team who were beaten 1-0 by Hamilton.
