The new Airdrie will be known as Airdrie United then. The new name was chosen to represent the united front being put on by the support, club, and hopefully community from now on.

The new logo is directly transposed from the town's Coat of Arms, but without the "vigilantibus" logo or the familiar Cock which was on the Airdrieionians FC badge. Obviously the old board didn't heed the vigilantibus message in days gone by!!

What are you're views on the name change? Let us know on the message forum. Would you want to see the Diamond changed or is it too traditional to touch?
