How the A.S Airdrie team came into being....................................................................................................

This Airdrie supporters team was born out of a wee game of 5 asides , It was suggested on the message board that we should meet up for a Game of 5 asides amongst ourselves, The first 5 to reply were quickly formed into the stomp allstars- even though we didn’t have a clue who each other were . the challenge match was met by 5 of the younger members of our support all under 18 , these 5 aside matches continued and friendships grew on the 2nd of dec 2002 we played our first full 11 aside friendly which we won 5-3 .This together with a Christmas night out and a few partys saw the players form a good bond which led to a return match which again we ran out 2-1 winners, then came the big test to play against the long established Internazioswally .

A meeting at central park saw the new kids on the block upset the older team by an emphatic 7-1 win , which surprised everybody, next up were Queen’s park supporters who traveled through to Airdrie and duly received a 7-0 thrashing. Encouraged by these good displays the founder members have been working hard to establish a team and enter them into a Saturday morning league, things are taking shape now and we should be ready to kick of the season in mid-August.
