We could go on about how bad Airdrie were last weekend in our 2-0 defeat to East Fife but it feels like flogging a dead horse, it's time to hope the team have learnt some lessons and can take that in to this week’s game.
It may be one in and one out for manager Jimmy Boyle, John Boyle has been ruled out with an ankle injury and Sean Lynch has regained his fitness, but where would he fit in? The only option would be to push Jamie Stevenson out on to the wing and allow Lynch and Owens to control the middle of the park? That would be a mistake in my opinion but unless you want to drop Owens or Stevenson to the bench or change formation to 4-5-1 I’m not sure there will be a choice? So could Frazer Keist drop to the bench, Lynch in the middle and Stevenson on the wing?
Looking at the prediction league it seems we’re very hopeful of avoiding a home defeat but not sure we’re going to win.
Prediction Stats Airdrie v Cowdenbeath | |
Home Win: | 51% |
Away Win: | 0% |
Draw: | 48% |
Let’s hope the players realise that’s a vote of confidence after a bad week.
Speaking of the prediction league I forgot to add the Raith Rovers fixture in to the equation, it’s there now so don’t forget to predict how you think Tuesday’s game will go.
Well done to If1 who’s at the top of the leader board.
