Airdrie host Dundee

After two Irn Bru First Division league matches away from home Airdrie host Dundee this week and Partick Thistle next week for what could be two very important matches. Airdrie have taken the lead in our last two games and although we have been playing excellent football we have not been able to hold on to the three points. Can we collect all three points against Dundee?

There are a couple of un answered questions ahead of tomorrows game, has Kenny Black managed to hold on to Willie McLauchlin? If not will we revert to a back four of Smith, Donnelly, Nixon, Hazely? Lovering has recovered from his knee operation do you think the club captain will be fit enough to return to the squad? Did Kenny see enough last weekend to persist with a 4-4-2 formation or is his formation and tactics dependent on the opposition?

Stephen Robertson has recovered from the back spasm he suffered before the game against Dunfermline last week, he is expected to retain the No1 Jersey ahead of Lee Hollis who it has to be said didn't do much wrong last week.

Dundee should have Eric Paton available to face Airdrie after the defender recovered from a dead leg.

But a hamstring injury is likely to sideline fellow defender Jim Lauchlan. Gary MacKenzie and Kyle Benedictus have also returned from injury.

I am keen to hold on to Willie McLachlin until the end of the season and I am waiting on official confirmation from Rangers on the matter.

We were magnificent last weekend and it was a travesty we never left with all 3 points...expect to see a similar 4-4-2 tomorrow.
