Two disastrous results leave Sons with a nail-biting finish to the season. The four remaining fixtures are difficult but winnable and hopefully starting at home to East Fife. Two disastrous results leave Sons with a nail-biting finish to the season.  The four remaining fixtures are difficult but winnable and hopefully starting at home to East Fife.  The Fifers have nothing really to play for as they have recovered from a poor start to the season to finish in mid-table (much like ourselves last season).

Previous Matches
The last visit of the season to New Bayview saw Sons play well but as we have recently seen not take their chances and end up punished.  Mortimer nicked the winner for the Fifers late on in the first half.. East Fife 1 Dumbarton 0

Dumbarton were on a roll in December and Paddy Flannery's headed winner made it five wins out of five as Sons moved into second place in the league for the first time this season. Dumbarton 1 East Fife 0.

Mark Crilly continued his excellent start to his Sons career as he gave Dumbarton the lead early in the second half but sloppy defending and an excellent performance from Fifers super-sub James Allen saw Sons then concede four goals. East Fife 4 Dumbarton 1.
