The game is being dubbed the ‘Battle of Britain’ but both sides know how massive this game is. With both teams languishing in the Relegation places in League 2, All three points is essential in The Stags’ battle to stay in the Football League. Can we keep up our current away form?

Wrexham come into this game on some improved recent form, Infact their defeat on Tuesday night to Peterborough was their first in 6 games. This upturn in form has been down to new manager, former Aston Villa and Tranmere boss Brian Little. During the transfer window Little brought in no less than 12 players. Including former Stags targets Drewe Broughton and Danny Sonner. Little also raided former club Tranmere for Keeper Gavin Ward and Defender Carl Tremarco, who has been earning decent reviews from the Wrexham faithful.

Wrexham manager Little made 12 signings in January. 

The Stags go into this game after two dissapointing results at home. A 3-1 loss against out-of form Chester and and 1-1 draw against Bury have left The Stags cemented in the bottom two. The Stags will still do without Martin McIntosh (who’s gone missing) but may welcome back star defender Alex-John Baptiste after coming back into training in the past few weeks.

Wrexham have a similar home record to Mansfield. They have lost 9 games at home this season and only scored 10 goals despite them beating promotion hopeful’s MK Dons and Darlington in recent weeks. The Stags however are looking for their 6th straight away win in all comps. Amazing when you think back to a few months ago when The Stags couldn’t even buy a goal never mind win’s away from home!

If you’re a betting man stay well from this game. With both sides coming into this game with un-predictable form its so hard to predict. Stags need the win to cut Wrexham off and keep up with the likes of Macclesfield and Notts County
